UNM-Valencia 2018-2019 Named Scholarship

UNM-Valencia Fall 2018/Spring 2019 Scholarship Application

We are pleased that you have selected The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus to further your education. The Financial Aid Office at UNM-Valencia is here to help students pursue educational goals by providing information about financial assistance. Due to generous contributions from families, organizations and businesses in our community, we are able to award these scholarships.

In order to receive an academic scholarship, you must be officially admitted to UNM-Valencia Campus and be pursuing an associate degree or certificate program. Students who have already earned an associate or bachelor's degree are not eligible.

Recipients are selected by the UNM-Valencia Scholarship Committee.  Awards are based on individual scholarship criteria and the completeness of your application.  Awards will be split between the fall and spring semesters.  Your name will remain anonymous throughout the process.  Do not write your name on the short answer sections.

NOTICE:  This survey serves as the scholarship application. This survey will close at midnight on July 21, 2017. Applications will not be accepted after that date. Incomplete applications will also not be accepted.  Applications must be submitted electronically.  Paper applications will not be accepted.

You may click SAVE and an email link will be sent to you so that you may return to the application to complete it.  Once you click FINISH, you cannot return to the survey.

Please answer all of the questions completely, accurately and thoughtfully. The multiple choice questions will help us to determine your eligibility for various scholarships. The short answer section at the end of the application will be scored by the scholarship committee.

Some scholarships are need-based which requires completion of the 2018-2019 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and your financial aid file with the UNM-Valencia Financial Aid Office. The FAFSA is available online at http://fafsa.gov. Non-citizens are also eligible for many of the scholarships and are encouraged to apply. Scholarship recipients will be notified by email approximately three weeks following the deadline.

The Financial Aid office staff at UNM-Valencia Campus is available to assist you with any questions you have about these scholarships.  We will be happy to assist you with your completion of this application, if necessary.

We wish you success in your academic pursuits, and encourage you to take advantage of all the services that we provide.
