2024-2025 McNair & ROP Application

Thank you for visiting our application webpage. Although the priority deadline was April 15, 2024, we are still accepting applications until all our positions are filled. If you are interested in our program, we encourage you to apply! Feel free to drop by the office, call, or email mcnair@unm.edu if you have questions. 

Admission to these programs is a competitive process and requires the submission of an online application form. Because we have a limited number of spots available, we cannot admit each applicant. Students who are accepted into our program will begin in the fall of 2024.

Applicants submit one application to be considered for either program (McNair & ROP)

There are 3 phases to the application process: 

1) Completion of this online application form

2) Interview (our office will begin contacting eligible applicants after the priority deadline to schedule interviews)

3) Review & Selection - Viable candidiates will be asked to submit letters of recommendation after the interview. Once the letters of recommendation are received, the applicant will be considered for a position in the program. We hope to send admisssions notifications via email by the end of the spring semester or early June.  All admitted applicants will be required to provide our office with documentation showing that they meet the eligibility requirements for the program to participate in McNair & ROP.
