Welcome to UNM’s Electronic Survey & Election Tool (Opinio) website.
Opinio is a high quality survey tool created by Object Planet and provisioned by the IT department at the University of New Mexico. For University Business, Research, and Academic needs, Opinio is available, at no charge, to anyone with a valid UNM NetID.
Support and training is available through UNM’s IT department. Opinio is completely web-based, accessible through multiple platforms, from PCs, to Macs, iPhones and iPads.
You can use Opinio to create multi-dimensional surveys, polls, elections, and questionnaires while generating four types of reports. The surveys have a high level for customization and easy to edit fields, allowing users the freedom to create unique, dynamic surveys that people want to take, sometimes more than once.

Opinio was upgraded from v6.3.3 to v6.4.4. The LDAP Authorization Plugin was also upgraded. Due to this upgrade, numeric matrix values can be used in dynamic calculations. Check out this live example. To do this yourself, read up on it in the Opinio documentation.
The new LDAP Authorization Plugin allows survey administrators to control authorization settings that were previously only available globally. You can now require your respondents to have an invitation, and you can use the respondent's NetID to check to see if they have previously completed the survey.
